Beef brain contains high amount of niacin, phosphorus,
selenium, vitamin B12 as well as calcium, which are all useful nutrients needed
in diet, besides this it also contains high amount of cholesterol, so those
having family history of hypercholesterolemia must avoid its consumption.
INGREDIENTS
Beef brain 1
Oil 1/2 cup
Tomatoes 2 small sized
Onions 2 medium sized
Ginger and garlic paste 2 tablespoons
Red chili powder 1tablespoon
Salt 1 teaspoon
Cumin powder 1
teaspoon
All-spice powder 1/2 teaspoon
Dried fenugreek 1 tablespoon
Coriander leaves 2 tablespoons
Green chilies 5 small
Turmeric 1 and 1/2 teaspoon
METHOD

First of all, take water in the container, add 1
teaspoon of turmeric in it, mix well, add in it brain, when it appears to boil,
boil the brain for about 8 minutes.

Drain the water, allow the brain to cool and
take out nerves from it.
·
Now, cut the green chilies to small pieces, also
finely cut the tomatoes and onions.
·
Put oil in the wok, heat it, add fenugreek and
onions in the wok, cook till turns golden brown.
·
Now add tomatoes, red chili powder, half cut
green chilies, salt, cumin powder, all spice powder, ginger and garlic paste,
cook till oil comes to the surface.
·
When oil comes to the surface, add the brain in
it and cook for further 8 minutes.
·
Turn off the flame, garnish with sliced
coriander leaves and left over green chilies.
·
Serve hot and enjoy delicious brain masala!
NOTE
Removing the nerves from raw brain is quite difficult; it is
easy to remove them after boiling.
