CHINIOTI PULAO


It tastes spicy, total preparation time is 1 hour, cook time 35 minutes. Serving is for 4-5 persons.

INGREDIENTS
Chicken 1/2 kg
Onion 1 medium sized
Oil 1/2 cup
Red chili powder 1 teaspoon
Cumin powder 1 teaspoon
Tomatoes 2 medium sized
Dried Plums 6
Salt 1 teaspoon
Ginger and garlic paste 1 tablespoon
Green chilies small 7
Cloves 3
Cinnamon stick1
Whole Black peppers 6
Rice 1/2 kg
Water 2 &1/2 cup

METHOD
·         Chop the onions to fine pieces, and wash the chicken.

·         Soak dried plums in water.

·         Heat oil in a pot, add onions, cook till turn golden brown, to this add tomatoes,  ginger and garlic paste, and cook for 3 minutes.
·         Now add chicken in the pot, add salt, red chili powder, cumin powder, cloves, cinnamon stick, plums, whole black peppers and 1/4 cup water, cook on medium to low flame.
·         Cover the lid and cook for 20 minutes.
Chicken is ready in 20 minutes

·         Wash and soak rice for 20 minutes.
·         After 20 minutes, add 2 and 1/2 cup water to the pot, also add potatoes and green chilies, and turn flame to high.

·         When comes a boil, add rice and cook on high flame till water dries.

·         Cook rice for further 10 minutes on low flame.

·         Serve hot!
